Arrow Big Book Quote 1/2/14

"We learned that we had to fully concede to our innermost selves that we were alcoholics. This is the first step in recovery. The delusion that we are like other people, or presently may be, has to be smashed."

What is everyone else's thoughts on this step being the only one you have to get 100% right?

if I concede to my innermost self that I am alcoholic and can not drink, then there is no issue.....

I move forward from there. There are no absolutes in AA nor is there perfection. I don't drink today.

Personally, I no longer ask a power greater than myself to help me stay sober today. Again, it's a non-issue.

Move forward and live life.....
