Back on day 1

Well I caved to the holiday pressures and family battles and fell off the wagon. Decided it's time to get back on. This time I'm not going to beat myself up over it. I realize I struggle with addiction and I unfortunately didn't hold up. I know many of us are struggling and you know what? That's ok, it's called alcoholism. If something comes up, try to find someone to talk to before you drink. For the rest who have stayed sober, great job and thanks for your support.

D, I am trying to handle them the best I can. I just realize it's time to stop relying on alcohol as a crutch and it will be a better X-Mas if I stay sober. Thanks for asking.

Good that you got back on track now Mirage - you could've waited until Jan. 2 like I probably would have.

I actually thought about that Hevyn. I just don't think mentally or even physically can take 2 more weeks of drinking at the pace I have been. If I stop today, I know come Jan 2 I'll be glad I did.

Well, I've fallen off again. I'm sorry for the false alarm esp. after all the encouragement. All I can say is, I've identified my trigger, it's my family. I have put up with their crap for far too long. I put that issue to rest once and for all, I can get sober. Hope to be back soon, hope you'll have me back. Thanks again

Of course - we'll be here. You'll be even more determined Mirage. Just don't go too long or it'll be that much harder on you.
