One Month
One Month
I think these post really just get sort of lost in the shuffle of so many people being in here. No one will really remember who one is or there struggle. But. I will post just the same. I have made it one month. I have not once questioned my decision to stop drinking. There are days when I don't even think of it anymore. I think when you stop fighting it and just give in to the fact that it is "not an option "anymore it helps those thoughts go away. I feel better and better every day. Most night I sleep like a baby, and the nights I don't, I am just thankful I am not waking up in the middle of the night half sick to my stomach and filled with quilt that I once again drank. Life is good and on this Month sobriety I am going to enjoy this day by going for a walk, a little shopping and tonight a movie with my hubby. All with peace in my soul and giving thanks to God!

Well done on your month River
I think people remember names, more often that you think and if all else fails, there is always the 'past posts' button to remind ourselves
Have a lovely walk and enjoy the movie Xx

River2013, 1 month? You are FANTASTIC. Congratulations. Like your signature, says it all, like your avatar as well. We are all going through the same struggle as you, and we are rootin for ya.
Amazing. You are a fellow sobriety date twin!
I love and relate to all of what you said!!
I definitely don't want to celebrate another day 30. I'm in it to win it! And by winning, I mean living a full, sober life, one day at a time. ((((River2013))))
Congrats!!

good for you River...1 month is a great achievement...and a nice place to reflect.
Just like the many meetings I've been to, as with posts, I can barely recall what I said no less what other people said....at least with SR I can go back days, weeks, months to remind myself.
For me to get SR friends and to get more personal with other stories is to subscribe to a particular thread that many members routinely post on
...like
the bedtime and morning time forums
the nicotine cessation forums,
Quackers and gratitude forums
To get SR friends added the majority of mine are because I asked.
Every now and then I look over profiles and leave a brief message....
My very best to you.....you are living in the solution and doing well.

Thanks for that post river because the start of sobriety is tough to get your head around the fact even a walk can be fun.Its been 8 days and although I feel great at the moment,I'm not quite where you are but hopefully in 3 weeks time I can post the same. This post hasn't been forgotten by me and it will remind me to keep going forward, nice one :-)
