7-Days Under My Belt
Well. Im on Day 8 today. Proud that I have seven days under my belt. Overall, I feel very good. I have my moments, don't get me wrong. When I get a craving or "the addiction wave" I try to surf it until I figure out what is wrong, then, miraculously, it crashes and I'm fine. Overall, I know that huge triggers for me are hunger and fear. No matter what I'm doing, if I'm hungry I stop and get food. Fear is the tricky one. I have been trying to focus on what is rational and if I'm worried about something really map it though. What I've noticed is that I nearly always blow thing out of proportion.
I guess that worked for me in the past, worked when I wanted to get drunk. Just let my hunger go until . . . bam!! I would cave and drink. Worry about things in an irrational manner until . . . bam!! I would cave and drink.
I've also been blessed with some great weather and have been able to get out and mountain bike a few more times until winter sets in. So beautiful in the mountains right now.
Any way. I'm going to keep on keepn' on. Best to all!!!
