Thanks everyone for the great welcome back and for your support.

Cai - the reason I slipped (or never really got started) was stress. But as I said elsewhere, its no excuse really - none of us will ever have a 'perfect' life - there will always be something to worry us but alcohol only makes it worse not better.

I actually feel a sense of relief coming back here - It has been so stressful(!) trying to hide and sneak what I'm drinking from family and friends, not going out in company cos I'm afraid of how I might end up ................ do I need to go on - the list is endless.

Anyway, onwards and upwards.

What will you do this time around to help you stay sober? You are right there is stress in our lives but I create less situations now that create it.
