Sobriety Memoirs
Sobriety Memoirs
Has anyone read "The Night of the Gun" by David Carr? I hear it's an incredible journey about alcoholism.
This past year I've read:
Bill Clegg's "Ninety Days" and "Portrait of an Addict... "
and
Augusten Burrough's "Dry"
All three helped me stay sober. Maybe if I kept reading memoirs about recovery, I'd have stayed that way.
Anyways, who's read a good recovery/addiction memoir lately?

Pete Hamill - A Drinking Life. I would be careful with memoirs in really early sobriety: I also read Augusten Burroughs' Dry and it was a big trigger for me, just all the alcohol discussion. But I agree that memoirs are great in recovery also!
