A New Outlet
We all need an outlet. For years mine was a barstool. After work. After mowing the lawn. After an argument. After waking up. During the game. It didn’t matter; I didn’t have to justify my actions to anyone.
Except myself.
Six months ago an event occurred in my life and I realized I could no longer make that justification. Something had to change and that change was obvious; I had to stop drinking. There was no internal debate, no deep thoughts, no cutting back. It was as plain as the day I quit smoking: There would be no more drinking.
It’s safe to say that was the single best decision I have made in my adult life.
I hope to utilize these forums as one of my new outlets I have no real expectations, just taking things one day at a time.

Day 190
There comes a time that alcohol just has to end.
There are a million reasons why but in reality there is only one. The one reason is I would be much better off without alcohol in my life.
We alcoholics like to complicate things and in reality it is simple decision.
I am so happy that decision a few years ago
