Close call!
Close call!
I was out today and stupidly purchased a bottle of Vodka. I got home and poured myself a double shot. I stared at it for about a half an hour. Then... I poured it and the bottle down the drain! That was a close one!
Thankfully, my AV lost to my sober side. I just couldn't stand the idea of throwing away 33 days. Won't be doing that again. I let my AV take that one right up to the cliff before I stepped away.

Nice. I know some people hate counting days, but I look at them like money in the bank. You can't just blow those valuable days away without giving it a lot of thought. Good job, but next time you can make it easier on yourself, right?
Good for you Zelda,
What do you think led up to buying a bottle of vodka? Respect, I think if I had got to the stage of buying it and bringing it home it would have been game over.
I remember about 5 months into sobriety having an intense craving for alcohol, I couldn't walk out the door of where I was working in case I bought alcohol. It took a couple of hours for it to pass but it did and I have never had that intensity of craving again.
Keep going.

CaiHong, I think this week was slowly leading up to it. I started getting severe cravings for the first time since I started and today it hit me hard. I went out to go to the bank and get some gas and the liquor store was right there. I walked in and bought it without even really thinking about it. Next thing I knew, I was home facing an internal battle. Thankfully, the sound mind side of me came out ahead.
