I don't know how to be GENUINELY ill anymore
I have a touch of the plague. Just the general yuks peppered with a fluffy nose, fever, body aches, etc.
I realized I was unwell yesterday and called it an early night to the dismay of my family who had a fun night out planned. I found me battling with myself like I would had I been drinking and hungover. Rather than admitting that perhaps I caught a bug or something, I started to self blame, feel guilt and shame and tried to talk myself out of it. I even caught a glimpse of the fam giving me a bit o tude like I used to get 60 days ago.
Old habits and all that. But gheesh.

How's it go ? Starve a fever , feed a cold or visa versa, either way plenty of fluids. Hope the plague clears up( thought only men got sick that way, lol)
In fairness, fam probably had a genuine beef 60 days ago, I'd let that slide. Old habits and the length of time needed for their demise and all
wish you well

I have become a lover of a natural supplement called Moducare. It is plant sterols that are supposed to keep your immune system "in check." When the rest of my family, came down with "the plague" as you call it, I never got it. Check it out and I hope you feel better!
I don't have that problem. I know very well how to be sick! Had pneumonia beginning of the year and was sick as a dog for weeks. I have no family living with me (except for my dogs and cat) so no one to get irritated with me. Actually, the critters were a great comfort when I was confined to bed.
I totally know what you mean AO. It's like we used up all our compassion points when we were hungover, now if we're sick, too bad! Plus, being sick equates with being in withdrawal or hungover, so we get that residual guilt thing and don't even give our own selves a break. So, you have my permission to get cozy, read the tabloids, watch junk and reality tv and drink virgin hot beverages and rest until you feel better. It's quite alright to take care of yourself!
