I'm smiling. I'm typing this and already I feel the biggest most wonderful sense of relief.

The cravings are all but gone. For those of you just about to begin - get the chocolate in.

I am starting to see a person I've never known and I think I quite like her.

I've drank solidly for 20 years. I did not know myself without the influence of alcohol. Now I am starting to see and meet the real me ands she's not bad - not bad at all. She laughs. She's trying to focus on the future and not dwell on the past and she's really quite happy without alcohol.

It's early days I know but I am starting to really believe that my life is so much better without alcohol. Keep strong all.
