Hi catwalker, welcome to SR. A good way to start is by reading posts in the newcomer's forum. It really helped me to see how many people out there were struggling with the same thing. You'll get lots of support here.

Welcome to SR catwalker. I'm glad you found us and have reached out for some help.

I agree with Kadidee - it really helps to know we aren't struggling alone with this. I felt so much better knowing I could discuss my feelings with people who really understood.

Hi Catwalker. It helps to have your spouse in this with you. My partner and I read the forums in the morning together. It's a HUGH help. Good luck. Keep SR BOOKMARKED!

welcome, cat...

lots of paths to recovery/sobriety are available... read around SR, ask questions, and know that you are not alone.

I agree with above suggestions. Read, read, read. You'll be surprised how many people have a story you'll recognize from your own life. Very comforting. Very inspiring. And then if you're feeling weak, check in. Post something.

Welcome!
