14 days.
Feeling pretty good.
Getting stuff done.
Not yelling.
Don't have to apologize constantly.
No dry heaves and coughs.
My stomach isn't constantly upset.
I don't oversleep all the time.
I have better personal hygiene.
I smile more.
I laugh more.
My attitude is more optimistic.
My work has improved in quality and quantity.
I go to meetings I used to skip.
I've quit worrying about getting fired.
Started going to doctors to work on some physical problems.
I'm running errands I used to pawn off on others.
I'm starting to enjoy playing with my dog.
My bank account isn't overdrawn.
I answer the phone more.
I forget things less.
I plan ahead.
I solve problems instead of putting them off.
I am nicer to everyone.
I do my laundry before everything is dirty.
I know where my wallet and keys are.
I remember to put the trash out.
I remember what happened on the last episode of TV shows.
Things are better. I have 2 personal relationships that need repair, and I'm not sure how that is going to go, but I'll just deal with what comes.
Thumbs up on the quitting drinking thing!

Great job and a great list! I was catching up on the second half of season five of Breaking Bad last night and realized I didn't remember a lot of the first half from watching it drunk. It's nice to remember shows now!
I love this post, foolsgold66. Thanks for giving me 27 reasons to get to Day 17. I literally laughed out loud when I read "I know where my wallet and keys are". When I think back on how many hours of my life I have wasted looking for things that I misplaced when drunk... One of the more ridiculous effects of alcoholism. Congratulations. And thank you.
FG - Congrats, great job.
ZeldaFan - I am re-watching all the seasons of Breaking Bad - my current addiction and I realize I had forgot all of them. Its like I got a whole new show back.
I also understand the personal relationship issue - same boat - but take it one step at a time.

Your post just helped me immensely. I'm on day 14 too and am at work when all of a sudden was hit with the obsessive thoughts about drinking after work. It started getting bad. I needed to read that. It helped!
