48 Hours!
48 Hours!
I did it! I have been sober for 48 hours!
It was a little bit more difficult than yesterday, I guess it's because it's Friday night...and my husband was driving me crazy all day lol...but I did it!
The good things:
-I had a much better sleep last night (I only woke up once during the night)
-The panic/anxiety is still really tough in the mornings, but much more manageable than yesterday.
-I ate a sandwich! (first solid food since I stopped drinking)
-I did all my house chores without having to stop for a nap because I was too drunk!
-I used the money that I didn't spend in wine to buy my son a toy
The bad things:
-The image of that French bottle of wine keeps popping in my head every 5 minutes
-That little voice keeps telling me that I can control myself...just one little glass
I really really hope I can feel more relaxed tomorrow...I keep telling myself that this is just an experiment...to see if being sober actually helps me feel more calm, if it helps the anxiety to go away. One more day...one more day.
