4 days down.
Just checking in, today is four days sober. Started the morning at a buddies house where I turned down a beer that was handed to me. Felt good all day, not as tired as previous days. Still craving sweets and giving in, more Ben and Jerrys tonight. Every morning is a little clearer. Walked past the beer and liquor aisles on the way to the ice cream, got my heart rate up. Got to the register and ran into a buddy buying a fifth of booze, damn the temptation, but brushed it off like a pro, you guys would have been proud. Heres to a sober day 5!

Congrats on the 4 days! I know the feeling.. everytime I go to 7/11 to get a Big Gulp or something I see people buying packs of beer...Tempting but It feels so good to walk out of there without giving in and knowing you won't be hungover lol

Those days in early sobriety can be soooo long and you are aware of every second, but they do speed up and they really do get easier. In a few weeks time, you'll hardly notice the liquor and, one day, turning down a beer will become almost second nature
