NA beer
I know this has been discussed probably hundreds of times, but I haven't discussed it.
I know many will say it is a trigger or a slip just begging to happen. I'm on day 26. The past few nights, I've had 1-3 NA beers. It makes me feel a little more normal...which I guess my old normal wasn't great... But I have a couple after work and then get busy doing housework and stuff. AND I can still get some kind of exercise in after -- something I couldn't ever do because real beer doesn't jive with getting on the elliptical later. Huge issue?
In searching relevant threads, I came across a VERY old post of mine from 2007 in the Friends and Family days. I was talking about how silly and very confused my soon to be ex hubby was for guzzling 6-packs of them. Ha.

On this topic of NA Beer - in the uk at least we have a fizzy grape drink usually sold around Xmas but available all year round called shloer - now I was at my mother in laws on Tuesday for dinner and she had the red grape one - I kid u not it tasted soooo similar to wine I had to not drink it. It gave me an instant craving for real wine! Avoid this like the plague wine drinkers!
I had one na beer on vacation, and it was god, but it's not something I feel safe making a habit of. I ask myself if i'm drinking it because it sounds interesting, or if it is "replacing" alcohol. I personally can't drink anything with the thought of replacing alcohol, because my mind goes right to alcohol. the only replacement for alcohol is, well, alcohol for me.
so I don't keep it around. that one I had on vacation was pretty good, but I didn't finish it and didn't get any after that. and I didn't obsess.
guess maybe that's a question to ask ourselves: are we thinking about the na often, as we did with the real deal? does it make you worry you'll relapse, or crave? then it's too hot to handle.

NA beers have a small amount of alcohol, and they don't taste very good.
You said you've had 1-3 for the past few nights.
Do you drink 3 softdrinks in an evening, or do you stop at 1?
Just asking. To me the NA beer is an eventual trigger.

They tasted awful to me. But I was never a big beer drinker anyway. It's like drinking decaf coffee... Just makes very little sense.
I drank wine for the alcohol. I mostly drink coffee for the caffeine.
