Starting again! Is there really a key for these shackles?
First post again (was registered under another name some time ago) and something that I know very well is occurring in my life, getting off of this s**t AGAIN. I'll be hanging around the forum from now onwards searching for the answer to my ultimate desire.... being free

Glad you made it back. First, don't drink. If sonething comes up ( and it will) and you want to drink, post here about it. Or talk to someone. I don't think there's any magic solution, you have to work at it. Use some support. Welcome back

Hi. My profound answer is "if I don't pick up a drink I don't have to get sober again!" Sounds and is simple the difficult part is working on the reasons I drank and controling them.

Sorry for the late reply but i'm busy with work, family and other things. I don't have a plan but I do know what DOESN'T work after 12 years of addiction so i'm already armed with lots of knowledge! I will mention that my addiction is substance and not drink related but no matter what we're addicted to it's still an addiction

I think that key you mentioned is directly related to how good your plan is.
Without a plan you're really leaving everything to chance, to yourself, and your own willpower - I dunno about you but that never worked out so well for me Skitz...
