I have a question about rehab..?
My xbf is an addict. The relationship was abusive and toxic. I am moving on with my life and focusing on ME and taking care of myself for a change.
I was always very codependent and I am trying to get over that. I am happy to be on my own and out of this relationship, but I still find myself worrying about him of course.
He recently went to rehab again, an outpatient program here in town. But I saw a post on facebook from someone about going to "step 2."
Does anyone know what this means? I was thinking that perhaps it is an inpatient rehab program, possibly out of state.
I want to give him space as he recovers..but I am still curious about how he is doing and where he is you know? I was familiar with the outpatient program, but I'm not sure what "step 2" means..

If he is part of an outpatient that includes the twelve steps, that could be
what going to step 2 means.
Step 2.
Came to believe a power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity.

There are 12 steps for codependents too. AlAnon.
You could look into your own program, so you can recover.
Well, guessing from someone else's post.....

I have looked at the 12 steps on here for codependents. I might try it out..but at the same time I don't know if I should because I don't know if I will ever contact him again? I looked at some of the questions and it just makes me reminisce..so I don't know what to do.
Thank you for your feedback!
