Day 6, things getting better
Day 6 today and... I'm a bit surprised! Pleasantly surprised.
Last night I slept incredibly well. Sleeping sober is incredible! Deep, relaxed, no nightmares.
Today I'm still pretty tired. I'm going to need a longer period of sleeping well to regain my energy. But it's a good start.
Physically I do still feel a bit sick. And mentally I feel a bit spaced out, like it's hard to concentrate. But it's already a lot better than in the beginning.
And best of all, I started doing things I had been procrastinating because of the drinking. It's a small start, but I quite naturally started to do some things that lead me to getting the life that I want.
I can't imagine ever wanting to go back to drinking.

Way to go Dorian! 6 days is an amazing start.
The fatigue and weirdness will pass in time. For me, I tried to remember that fatigue was something I would have been drinking to not feel, and was proof how much damage I was doing to my body.
Continue to rest well. Eat well. Be kind to your body - it has recovering to do too, along with your mind and spirit. These things come with patience and perseverance.
Congratulations on progress being made every day

Dorian, well done on day 6 (hug)
One day at a time - things change and our bodies and minds heal.
Im on day 29 and I expect good days and bad days and I have learned that that is okay (hug)
Keep it up - you are doing great.

Well done Dorian. The first week is by far the hardest. Gettingthrough the first couple of weeekends is tough. It gets easier and better with time.
