Today is Day 1..Again...First AA meeting in an hour

Today I set myself on a new path. After a horribly painful breakup last week and nearly driving myself insane over a woman with addiction issues I have decided to look at myself and see that I have a drinking problem that has made my life unmanageable. I have come in here several times and started over. Today it ends...the pain, the negativity. I will go to my first ever AA meeting at noon. Wish me luck.

I hope you enjoy your first meeting. Let them know you're new and you should get phone numbers to call if you need to talk to someone.

I went and it was a book discussion meeting so I didnt get much out of it. I need to find one for beginners
