Smile 5 weeks sober! the fear is going!

hi everyone haven't been here in a while im new to blogs and stuff!! so ive made it to 5 weeks and i must say the difference in my family life and house has done a full 360. im not saying its been easy but it has been a great way to get some of my self respect back. i must say i think i need to do more meetings if i dont go for a couple of days i get those thoughts im not an alcoholic i was just a heavy drinker or i cud change my drink!! and we all know were that will lead, self destruction, fear, no self respect, self hate, which was a big one for me. my husband has peace of mind and that is great. i know its early days but i feel if i keep learning about the aa programme and go to meetings ill get stronger. compared to my first day on here im a different person, the fear has gone.

I'm glad the fear is leaving you and that you're feeling good. It's wonderful to feel self-respect returning to your life, isn't it!

5 weeks - that's some serious sober momentum you've got going! You're sounding really positive.

So great to hear you are feeling better! I noticed that if I miss more than 2 days of meetings I get stinking thinking too. Keep up the awesome work
