New milestone

Well its gone really quickly and its now 60 days of sobriety. Woooohoooo. I now need to set a new milestone. I have been telling everyone i am on this fitness campain and i have been running and working out alot over the last two months which i find is a really good recovery tool but now its time to step it up. Yesterday i read a post from "nigey1" who just reached his 1 year milestone and he used the tactic of telling everyone he was having 1 year off the booze. Thanks nigey1 for the idea and now that is my new tactic and new milestone. Thanks everyone for your support to date. Have a fantastic day everyone

I have been slowly building up my running and can now achieve 10km which is nearly half of a half marathon. I would love to achieve a half marathon in the future. I have lost about 7kg just from running and no beer. I am sure you will reach your goal and run the half marathon. Congrats on your 60 days achievement

I've been doing 5ks four to five times a week but burn out at the end. You're already there that's so awesome! You should enter a race for now and one scheduled in early fall and work on beating your time.

There is a big difference between 10km and 21km so i am nowhere near there yet. My fastest 10km is 54.30 but it isnt really about time it is more about the endurance and finishing what you start isnt it? I might step up in a few weeks and see if i can go a bit further (maybe 15km) on a quiet Sunday morning
