Big stuff this week

Hello Friends,
This week has a lot of big things attached to it. School is huge this week, lots of reading and writing and a ton of it. On Thursday I get the nerves in my lower back burned, so I am trying to cram all my school work into a few days so that I am not freaked out about school while recovering from the nerve procedure. The test procedure left me feeling wrecked for a week. I would not be able to do school even if I wanted to.... What am I doing though? I am writing on SR and not focusing on my psych class. Anyways, my anxiety is starting to get high because of Thursday... Fingers crossed for this procedure. This is the final option before more severe things take place.

Best wishes for both school and the procedure - I hope the side effects are minimal this time around

Good luck with school and the nerve issues. Remember, one day at a time and deep breaths! Keep posting (but study too).

You can handle it Miz. How do you eat an elephant? One piece at a time. Be strong.

Good luck on your back procedure Miz. I can relate to the nerves before a procedure and/or major surgery (2 open heart surgeries in last 9 years). I hope this does the trick for your back!

Hey miz good luck with your back!

If you want to look on the bright side hanging out in SR probably gives you more practical PSYCH studies then your text book!

I too was a psych/ bio major do not miss those exams. Good luck and let us know how you did on all fronts

You're handling it really well.

Breathing and quick walks help with both studying and quieting the mind.

UPDATE: The receptionist of the Dr.'s office called saying that the procedure has not been authorized by my insurance. So, I called the insurance company and they are saying there is no paperwork on file. I call back the receptionist back and let her know what insurance says, and she tells me that she has not submitted the paperwork. So, why in the hell did you tell me this was on insurance?? WTF? This paperwork was supposed to be submitted 2+ weeks ago.
I cried. I am so tried of my back and this pain. I was looking forward to getting this procedure, even though I was really nervous and scared, because it would finally relieve the pain I am in. What a F###### bummer. I will wait now for authorization. Im off to work. I have no more pain management meds, and I will be winging it hoping that things will not go haywire.
My school work is coming along though. I feel slightly confused by the work, but I think it will register eventually.
