Hello

Hello Two weeks sober and hoping that this is the time I don't go back!!
Feeling pretty good but evenings are hard. Looking for some support and words of wisdom to keep me on a sober track

Remember that the whole thing is habitual. If evenings and nights were your time to drink then the habit itself will come after you at that time.

You can find support here..and also at meetings too. Getting a sponsor will help you along this journey. It was easy for me to get sober.......but the main thing is to STAY sober...and happily! Its possible! Goodluck buddy.

Thank you everyone! Made it to week three and looking for something positive to keep me going. Just checked my blood sugar and it was 80 this am. For months it has been at the pre=diabetic range 105 plus in the am. Think the wine must have been messing with my liver. I have also lost a few pounds to boot! Made me feel happy. Summer will be hard with get togethers, especially going out on our boat! That was the main activity, drinking!!!!! One day at a time.

Thanks for sharing the good news. All the 'firsts' are difficult, but once you get over those hurdles you'll feel encouraged and strengthened. You can do it!
