Today sad gets trumped by happy
So I think my EXAG got out of rehab today to return home to her apartment. Fortunately I was in intense training all day, 1200 miles away, so I didn't have much time to think about it. I am sure she didn't call, and who knows if she even thinks about me or how hurt and lonely I have been without her for the past several months. So there was sadness.
But there is some upside to the day- I got a promotion! I have been working for it, and denied it for about a year. But I was notified today that it finally happened. And I just got back from an outstanding meal from a fantastic Long Island Italian restaurant with a bunch of great people from work.
So today, I can say that happy trumped sad.

Thanks you all. Right now, I am actually feeling pretty good about things. And out of the blue I was contacted today by an old dive buddy, so I have some tentative plans to get in the water when I return home. Diving is one of the deep bonds that I had with the EXAG, so it pulls at the heart strings a bit.
Just trying to take one day at a time.
