Amethyst
Amethyst
Back in January a few of us were talking about the "healing powers" of Amethyst.
Amethyst is very well known -- as from the ancients -- as a sobriety stone. It has been used for millenia to prevent drunkenness, and is used to assist in getting rid of addictions to alcohol, drugs, smoking, etc, and destructive compulsive behaviors of all kinds.
So tonight my husband and I were at a jewelry store and I was checking out amethyst rings. I found a beautiful amethyst and diamond ring that I just loved. My husband bought it for me for Mother's Day. He doesn't know the meaning or significance behind the stone but obviously I do. I figure I could use all the help I can get in this battle! I am right handed and its on my right hand. That beautiful purple stone and its significance is what I will see if my hand ever reaches out for a bottle of wine again!
