Sinderos

Although I did drink I did not drink vodka. I know drinking for the alcoholic isn't good regardless of what it is, but for me to drink and not have vodka is huge. Regardless, I realized tonight it's just not worth it. All I got from the lime-a-Rita's today was feeling extremely bloated and super exhausted. I realized after having 4 full days of sobriety and "normal" living that I do NOT want to live like this. I poured out the remaining alcohol, took a hot shower and resolved in my mind & heart to give up all alcohol for good. The hardest part is I've also decided to give up my bf of 2 1/2 years too if he continues to drink. (He says he's quitting too, by I know in my heart he's not ready....he just went and got a 12 pack "to go out swinging". So in other words he'll be drinking tomorrow too because there's no way he'll drink them all tonight.) I'm going to bed tonight knowing my future will be initially hard, but so much better alcohol free in the long run.

I found dealing with any situation was a lot easier sober. Good for you pouring out the rest of the alcohol.
