5 months today!
Life has become increasingly better. Due to the program of AA & my higher power, I have been able to make positives changes in my attitude & relationships. I actually have relationships now rather then isolating. Right now, I must remember to constantly remind myself that I am truly powerless over alcohol & that one drink can send me back into the hell I've managed to escape with hard work. I must never forget where alcohol took me because this life is so much better.

Congrats and remember take it day by day.
Please constantly remind yourself you are powerless like you said. I had 18 months and thought I had it under control. I gave in to this thought and fell off hard for 6 months. I am back have 45 days sobriety and am more involved in the program than I ever was. I always keep in mind that I am powerless.
