Back again.

Coming up on seven weeks smoke free, but have relapsed big style with the drink so I'm back on day 2. It's the end of day two though, 7.30pm ...

Feel horrific. I don't know what I ate on Friday night when I was wasted but it's giving me some evil pains in my lower left abdomen. That's actually something I experience quite allot after drinking, so hopefully that will go soon.

Feel f****** terrible, urgh. I feel like I have nobody to talk to and I can't even bare to take a shower. Just felt like moaning, thanks for listening.

Pretty amazing that I keep running backwards into this state of complete repentance and distress! Oh alcohol, so much to answer for.

Welcome back SoberRo. You can beat this. I dread to think what was in those 'forgotten' meals. But lately, if I eat too many carbs, my body feels hungover. It's weird as I wake up groggy and with a thick head.

Stick around here SoberRo. We'll support you all the way.

Congrats on the cigarettes!

And, remember that you don't have to go through this again.

Glad you're back to try again. Might be a good idea to check in with your doctor about those pains, it may be more than the food you ate if you consistently get them in relation to drinking. Drink lots of water, and get some sleep, and in a day or so you should feel a whole lot better! If you can force yourself to take a shower, that usually made me feel instantly better.

Congrats on the quitting smoking-huge accomplishment!!

Welcome back Ro,

What are you going to do this time around to stay sober?

Good for you on giving up the ciggies.

Welcome back Ro. Nice job with quitting the smokes so far. Anything you are doing there that you can apply to quitting the booze?

Well I've been to see the doc, since the left sided pain could be my pancreas. She took bloods and I'll go back Friday. I'm thinking about AA. I'm thinking I'd rather never leave the house again though, haha.

Ro,

Glad to hear you went to the doctor, let us know the results of the tests.

AA and SR have kept me sober for coming on 2 years. I never want to go back to drinking.

The best of luck with finding a program that works for you.
