Lgbt
We have an LGBT forum here at SR Jem GLBTQ in Recovery - SoberRecovery : Alcoholism Drug Addiction Help and Information x
Hey jem ,
I'm a gay guy and i try not to discriminate against those heterosexuals when i'm sharing my (not very huge) experience . I try to focus on the common shared experience . Come join in, i'm sure you've learned quite a bit in those 8 months which could be useful to all .
The more of us GBLTQ who get involved, the more we can make it a friendly and accepting place (which it is already, thanks everyone) , then especially in our own corner of the forum .
Bestwishes, M

Hey Jem,
You are safe here. We are all the same working toward a common goal. I've been a member since I quit 9 months ago and have posted about my life and my partner. Never once did I feel like I did not belong. Never once did anyone post anything homophobic. This is a great place where all are welcomed and you will find the support you need here.
Congratulations on 8 months sober!

I'm not gay, but my father is. So is my best buddy in AA. I understand why you'd look for some specific support that is geared towards your lifestyle - I am quite sure you'll find support from all walks of life here. It's encouraging to see that you're addressing your alcohol issues - stick with it! Have you looked into any programs or groups in your area that might be also able to provide help?
