Spent the day with dad. We talked and had some laughs and played scrabble. It was a nice distraction from what is coming. Tomorrow is the big day. Mom's 67th birthday and dad'striple bipass surgery.
Please send your prayers along.
I am praying for well rested experienced surgeons and medical team. Healthy organs and a speedy recovery.
And that I don't go crazy in the process.

Today was the big day and I am so happy to report everything went very well! He is going to be in recovery for a while but everyone seems very optimistic.
I want to say thank you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all of you who have said prayers, and kind thoughts and energy my way. It truly does make a difference. I feel so very fortunate for that.
When my dad's tube was removed the nurse asked him who my mom was and he said, "birthday baby".
Happy birthday to my mom. I sort of feel like its my dad's birthday now too.
