I love my dogs, they love me...
We just got dog, an email went out around work that this dog needed a home or she would be going to a shelter. We added to the menagerie of cats that we already had. The zoo is complete and man, I love this dog!
When folks got discouraged they used to say that "the world has gone to the dogs". They got it all wrong. If the world had gone to the dogs and the dogs were running everything then we'd all be far better off. Three of the five dogs I've had during the past 29 years have never seen me take a drink. I'm proud of that. Maybe they have been a good reason why I've kept my sobriety. Do it for yourself, but if you can't do that, at least do it for the dogs!

Best to all you animal lovers here.

Hey Dude, hope you're doing well today!! What breed is Rocket?? I'm a big dog lover myself! Old lab that thinks she's human and a 2 year old Golden that I'm waiting so patiently for her to leave the puppy stage and chill out a bit! We also have a couple cats that I love as well!! Hope you have a good day, friend!!
IF A DOG WERE YOUR TEACHER You would learn stuff like.....
When loved ones come home, always run to greet them.
Never pass up the opportunity to go for a ride.
Allow the experience of fresh air and the wind in your face to be pure ecstasy.
When it's in your best interest -- practice obedience.
Let others know when they've invaded your territory.
Take naps and stretch before rising.
Run, romp, and play daily.
Thrive on attention and let people touch you.
Avoid biting, when a simple growl will do.
On warm days, stop to lie on your back on the grass.
On hot days, drink lots of water and lay under a shady tree.
When you're happy, dance around and wag your entire body.
No matter how often you're scolded, don't buy into the guilt thing and pout... run right back and make friends.
Delight in the simple joy of a long walk.
Eat with gusto and enthusiasm. Stop when you have had enough.
Be loyal.
Never pretend to be something you're not.
If what you want lies buried, dig until you find it.
When someone is having a bad day, be silent, sit close by and nuzzle them gently.

Aww I bet Rocket is a sweetheart!! I know my Barry has been the greatest emotional support I could have. Sometimes I come home feeling so down & upset, but remembering he is gonna be there at the door jumping on me makes life bearable. It really does. I'm glad you have your babies there with you during this time for you
That is so awesome. Stay strong! We have a Beagle Aussie cattle dog mix and she is so loyal. Like stated above, they are so trustworthy and all they need is your love. Molly sometimes knows when to distract me from "working in the garage." Believe me, the tired will go away and you will feel so energetic it will surprise you! Keep up the good fight
As usual, you guys rock. I got Rocket and Rainey at the same time brother and sister, (also have Louie and Honey). R and R are small terriers, had Max, my golden, who passed a few yrs back. His ashes are still on my cabinet in bedroom. Really good comments guys, I appreciate that. Take good care.
