Oxycontin withdrawal
How long will it take to get through these withdrawals. I have not had a pill in 2 weeks and don't want to go back to that lifestyle. Please help me, I haven't slept on days or eaten and can't keep food down.

I advise that you see your doctor or a Doctor for medical guidance on the matter. If you are vomiting continuously (Over 4 or five times in a day) you should get yourself to a urgent care or E.R, you may need to have them replenish your fluids and vitamins. Of course only a Doctor can make this diagnosis, so I strongly urge you to get yourself to a clinic, Doctors office or ER.
Hi maylush
I have no experience to share - others may be along shortly tho.
not being able to sleep or keep food down after 2 weeks is pretty rough - would you consider seeing a Dr? Thats what I'd recommend.

Welcome maylush! Sorry things are so rough right now. I do agree with everyone that you need to get to a clinic, doctor and/or emergency room. If you are dehydrated that can cause a lot of symptoms that may not even be withdrawals. I became very ill several years ago, not addiction related, and had dehydration so bad the nurse said I could have had a heart attack. So please seek medical assistance right away. And come to SR and post and read, it is so incredibly helpful.
It usually takes at least a month to start to get back to someone of normal. I agree that a specialist / doctor may be needed. Try to drink water if you can at least keep that down, it's vital that you not get dehydrated. If you google "Thomas Method for Opiate Detox" you can find some great info about how to detox safely and find some relief from symptoms. Again, I'm not a professional, but I have been around this paticular block many times. It's critical that you get support, get help from others, don't be alone all day week in and week out feeling ill. As soon as you can start going on very short walks. Exercise will be very beneficial too. Just keep going this won't last forever. Just don't use or drink for today. Sending good vibes to you!
Both of my kids" stopped oxy/h. listen to peeps here on fluids and drs. it took them (my son/ daughter, they were into it heavy) about two weeks, for physical things, and they were back to normal. just dont start up again. thats my biggest advice. that crap will kill you. and it doesnt give up. dont start back my friend. you will not win that one. no one does.
