Waking up W/O a hangover

So yes it is my first night not drinking last night since...probably Junior year of college? There had to be one night i didnt drink back then...Anyways, woke up without a hang over from booze. Cant tell you how happy I am, didn't think I would be able to do it. Not sure how long I'll make it, but I'm not drinking tonight thats for sure.

Imagine how you would feel with 7,14,21 .... Straight days without a hangover!!

Keep going :-)

Congrats on day 1 and 2 - that's the biggest hurdle

Hey Mully,

Hope you slept alright and well done on waking up without the hangover. I remember when I first woke up early and felt fresh. My favourite thing to do now is get up on a Sunday and go outside early because this was the day I normally ended up sleeping away. I make up for lost time.

Natom.

Oh yes, I concur with you on this. Feels so go good to wake up without a hangover. I need to relish this feeling too this morning because I really don't want to have a hangover especially on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day when I want to be fully present and share in the joy of being with my family and friends.

Day 3 today and I'm feeling better. Tired sure but no shakes or hangover.

I'm just focusing on having a sober Xmas. I want that feeling of waking up on Boxing day and not feeling crappy or shameful (or both as normal!)

My favorite part of part of not drinking is around 3am..wake up and not need to drink a gallon of water then wake up again around 6am to get out of bed....first thought...yaaaaaaa did not drink yesterday...this has been going on now for tomorrow 80 days...it feels so good Mully!!

Yesss ! Same here. And I used to suffer the headaches and never took any pain killers because those would damage my liver. There goes that non sensical thinking too. I think the crappy way I feel the next day is my second biggest motivator to stop after my family.
