Day 5 : Going fine till now

On day 5. Went through most of the usual withdrawal. Sleep is still very rare and comes in bits and pieces but I understand that my body and brain chemistry is adjusting .

As I am sure to get this question. What is going to be different this time.? Well , 1st thing I would like to share that , till now , all my previous attempt I had quit to make others happy. I had quit to improve my career and my overall life. However, this time , I am quitting for my own life. I want to live long as well as healthy. I could moderate for few months but have come to conclusion that alcohol , eventually ,makes me more and more and thirsty . Why to drink some thing which increases the thirst , ruins body and mind. I really thank SR and all the members of SR. This forum is my only support tool and it works till now..Looking forward to your best wishes.

Welcome to SR, this is a wonderful place with lots of support! It has been my greatest tool for sobriety.

Yes, I agree that moderation increases the desire for drinking. It did with me.

Congratulations on Day 5 and it sounds like you have a good attitude.
