Fun things to do in early recovery?!

Hi guys!
So, I'm 34 days sober and have been going to meetings every day with the goal of doing 90 in 90. I'm well on my way and feel good about it, but I'm feeling like I'm in a bit of a "rut" of sorts. My days just feel so monotonous! I'm currently still in treatment during the days, but then I come home, walk the dog, watch TV, eat, go to a meeting, start all over. I am finishing IOP next week but I need to incorporate some fun into my days so I don't get bored, as being bored was a big trigger for me as well as anything else in life. Ha!

What do you guys do to keep your spirits up?

Don't get me wrong, I read, I'm working on the steps, etc...but I'm thinking more along the lines of something other than recovery work...

It's easy to get stuck in a rut Niki. Maybe just make a promise to yourself to do something different every week. Even if it's just taking the dog somewhere new for a walk x

Congrats on your recovery progress niki.
The holidays have always been a 'low serotonin' time for me and that causes me to think about all of the "fun that I am missing", staying busy although not fun, does keep my mind off the drinking. Taking care of neglected things around the house, my health included.. I've even thought about bowling again.
Getting lots of sleep is very important for you right now as well.
Best wishes.
