Fear
11 YEARS in recovery and sober and still every so often let go og God and run the ole show myself.....when will i learn
I think its nice to be here dont know yet.
Looking for another avenue as well as meetings!!!

Old habits die hard. Glad to see you struggle with this at 11 years makes me feel better when I struggle with it at 3. We were ready to have our charactor defects removed but the question is, "When?"

I've been sober a bit longer than you, and I still have moments when fear grips me. At those times, my mind starts to work at warp speed to control everyone and everything in my environment. It's not pretty, but I know what it is, and I know to stop, breathe and take a big step back.

i dont think i will ever have the absense of fear in my life. it is a natural emotion. what is important is what i do with it when it crops up. if it is fear over a decision or action i have to do, i ask for courage. if it is my own thinking gettin whacked, i ask God to remove it.
