Watching the news and all the kids in Bali getting drunk and being offered drugs etc......I am only 3 days sober and a cronic binger but watching people wander around blind drunk and out of control actually scared me so happy with my choice to give up forever

Hey Tiredman. It is very confronting- but the media portray the worst as the norm. Best to count our blessings and focus on what we can change in our lives.

Very true but I could just imagine what I would be like with my lack of self control and it's scary enough in a country where I know the laws let alone over there.....thank god I have seen the light and after my last binge it actually registered for the first time that I have no control and can never drink "normally"......so glad I did so before I killed myself..

For non Aussies schoolies is like Spring break - it's school leavers at the end of the school year acting up.

I was bitter at the time but I'm very glad I wasn't allowed on Schoolies - it was ridiculous even back then, and I was immature and stupid - I would have been right in amongst the worst of the foolishness.
