Tis the season for giving thanks....
Tis the season for giving thanks....
Just want to take some time to thank Dee, Anna and all of the incredible people who have been so supportive of my journey.
Closing out day 38, and in the past 38 days I have:
-Spent six weekends sober
-Exercised 20/38 days
-Journaled something I am grateful for each day
-Lost 11.5 pounds
-Spent lots of quality time with my kids
-Completed an education series about alcohol through my insurance
-Read six books
-Checked in on SR daily
-Signed up for a half marathon
-Volunteered to bring the pies for Thanksgiving, rather than the alcohol I am
Usually in charge of
There have been some tough days, but waking up sober each day has been worth it. Thanks to all of you for your support. For those of you on Day one it gets easier. For those of you with years of sobriety thank you for your wisdom.thanks:

Yes days can be very hard but it is giving thanks. Even awake and sober and on line is a thanks giving. It ia about all the little blessings. Several years ago I was in treatment over the holidays and it was still a blessing.
