Methadone users/exusers read

I'm a dual diagnosis patient - I'm down to 15mg/day methadone with no WD symptoms at all. I also have panic disorder and GAD. I want information about methadone tapering. I have 107 10mg pills left to do my taper from 15mg to 0. When I get to 0 I will have 30mg oxy a day to manage my pain (I'm only on methadone for chronic pain but want off). Can anyone share personal experiences with me? I need to know a little more about what to be expecting.

Thanks,
T14

Hi Tapering

that's really stuff you should be asking your Dr - especially if you have an anxiety disorder I think it's important to get professional advice, not hearsay.

In any case, by the rules of our website we can't give you medical advice here.

I am under VERY CLOSE doctor care - I was asking about personal experiences - I am well aware of the rules on this site, as they are all very different - I am a moderator at MSO.

Thanks for your feedback anyway.

Hello tapering
I don't have any experience with methadone, however there are a couple of recent post, one under doctors orders. Taper off methadone then follow up with suboxone. Doctor claims less chance of relapse. You can check my recent post to find it. Hopefully we'll find an way to get out of this. Best to you.

That's the problem, I WASN/T strong before addiction - anxiety ruled and ruined my life.....That's what scares me most.
