Hi all. I was sober 2 years and relapsed and have been drinking 6 to 10 beers a day for the past 1.5 years. In the past my withdrawals lasted only three days but now I'm at three weeks and still have nausea, head fog, and headache.

My dr said I don't/won't have paws but that this will just take a while. Can you help me understand how long? When will this end I'm supposed to start a new job Monday. Please help!

I'm glad you have talked to your dr about your symptoms.

I don't know why you still are having physical symptoms at three weeks into your sobriety.

I dont know either. I would probably talk to another doctor, one that is more specialized in the field of alcohol and such..

Being physically sick after 3 weeks might be something else entirely. I'd go get a second oppinion on that if I were you.

Of course it could be something as simple as you're smoking too much, drinking a lot more coffee, mixed something up in your diet? You really don't hear of people physically suffering after 3-5 days really when coming off of alcohol.

Same as others. But it does take time. Have you improved you diet? Alot I mean, vitamins, fruit veggies, Omega 3-6-9? Consult before but your body took damage, alot of it so give time.
