looking for help......
Welcome edinMs -
Have you checked out anything on the internet? I found this website:
http://www.choosehelp.com/california...-in-california
There might also be doctors who are addiction specialists in your area, or resources through the county/state (like Health and Human Services).
I hope you can find something... I went to a state-funded 30-day program several years ago and it was low-cost, but I still couldn't afford it. They worked out a payment plan for me, though, which was quite manageable.
Good luck and welcome to a great place!

Hi! I live in Southern California too! I've been through A rehab center called MITE that was state funded / very cheap but it was pretty rough in terms of living conditions. I did manage to stay sober about 6 months after I left though. And it never cost me a dime, which was awesome, because I was broke.
Here are a few others to look up / google :
1.) Salvation Army recovery program (men only I think)
2.) CRASH
3.) Turning Point Crisis Center
Also, I know this is a big "maybe" but many rehabs DO have scholarship programs for those in need as long as they are prepared to really work on recovery. If you need to go into a detox or rehab please do whatever it takes!! I can personally assist you further if you message me. Here to help!
