Been In Jail 16 Days
Wow, umm I am still in jail, today is 15 days sober, I feel really good mentally, but oh my gosh jail is so boring. I really feel like this time I am going to stay clean for good, I am tired of being thrown in jail. Just wanted to post a thread and get some encouragement from some fellow people in recovery, it seems like the thoughts of using are occurring less and less, they mainly come in at night right before I go to sleep. Anyways, I am still waiting on the paperwork to get done so I can go to the facility I am supposed to be going to, so I have no clue when I am getting out of here. And I don't have a chance to attend meetings because they don't have that sort of program here or even any AA or NA literature. Any help or advice is appreciated.

((Extrochris)) - I spent a bit of time locked up, too. After almost 6 months in a diversion center, I was convinced I was DONE with drugs, and I was...for a while. I relapsed for a couple of weeks, knew the next step for me was prison (I was still on probation) and that's when I decided I really was done.
I use SR as my main source of support, along with some f2f family and friends and have over 5-1/2 years in recovery. I'm still dealing with some of the consequences of when I was using, but at least I'm not making bad decisions to cause MORE bad circumstances.
Hugs and prayers,
Amy

ACT10Npack, this is a decent jail, and since I am technically still in high school they call using the computer school time. Does anybody have bad cravings at night time when they are trying to go to sleep? That's when I notice that I am thinking about using the most, and it tends to keep me awake.

How long are you there for?....I can't for the life of me figure out why they wouldn't offer AA/NA there. We bring meetings to the jails here in Florida all the time...What better place to have them....And they supply Big Books....That's completely nuts if you ask me.
silkworth.net The book Alcoholics Anonymous is on there, take a read. That's the info for AA.
We're here, too. xa-speakers.org is also online, take a listen to some speaker meetings. Young People in AA exists.
Glad you are here
