The pinhole of addiction
The pinhole of addiction
When I got to SR yesterday morning it was rough. My hands are shaking even now as I type. All signs of my actions.
I arrived here looking through the pinhole of addiction.
This post is to really thank everyone for the heartfelt support I received yesterday.
You all made something very clear to me that I won't soon forget.
You helped me back up a bit. A lot really.
You helped me see things from the proper distance from it.
Those that have more sober time than me made it obvious.
What I mean is when I get lost in everything it's because my world in my head gets smaller. Closes in to just be a pinhole I see out of. Those few moments in the now that have no relationship to the whole. And that's the moment I make poor choices.
Yesterday you snapped me out of things to be able to see it more broadly.
Forgiveness is not to absolve but release. And I forgive myself for Mondays actions.
Nothing will be lost. I won't let it.
It will be like the 5 second rule with a French fry. I'll still eat it.
Thank you for your generosity of spirit!
Ken

Saw your post this morn on the Sept thread but as I am not a member I didn't like to jump in :>
You are probably feeling down a bit because it is the weekend coming up Ken...
Try doing something different this weekend. Something that you have never done before.
Sending you and all those dreading the weekend lots of positive vibes. I wish I could tell you a joke but I am rubbish at remembering the endings :>
I JUST FOUND ONE IN TIME TO EDIT :>
