Welcome Rhesus
coming here is a great start - SR really helped me change my life

are you thinking about other forums of support too, like AA or some other recovery programme, or counselling/seeing your Dr?

Welcome to SR Rhesus. You've found a great place with so many supportive and understanding people, who really get what you're going through. I had no one in my life who sympathized or understood my problem with alcohol.

I was around your age when I admitted my drinking was off the charts. I didn't do anything about it. 20 years later, my life was in shambles. You are wise to be dealing with this now - you'll never have the drama and tragic events that many of us have. I hope you'll keep reading and posting here. You're never alone.

hi and welcome Rhesus.
A good place to start. I needed a program to help me to stay sober. I use both AA and SR.
I have never met anyone who regretted getting sober.
All the best
