Finally slept, yay!
Finally slept, yay!
Got to sleep somewhere around 5:00 am or so. Got woken up by the phone at 9:00, but feel better.
OK, so I turned down a party tonight, grudgingly.... Not goin out tomorrow night, either (this is painful!!!), but tomorrow during the day gonna hang out w/ my mom at an art museum where they're gonna have some critters from the zoo! Mom's happy, I made it through another one, and my friends (and of course you guys!) have all be really supportive.
Onward through the fog!

Glad to read that you got some rest and congrats on turning down the party. Museums are great and you won't have to worry about turning down drinks when others around you are partaking.
Continued best wishes to you!

You know what I like about not drinking? Before on friday nights i'd wait around all night showered and all done up waiting for my friends to call going out. I missed so much quality time with my family/nephew because I was more excited to go out drinking. Now, I come home, I lay around, I don't feel rushed.. and I get to do fun stuff I would have never normally done because I'm not in a rush to get somewhere else! It really does get BETTER. Hang in there.

Awesome man! I finally fell asleep and woke up around 1:30. Felt like it was coming back but drank two emergen-c packages and ate some real food for the first time in days. Still tired and foggy but finding moving around and cleaning up the mess I created during my binge to be uplifting. Want a clean slate. Stay clean and enjoy the time with your mom.
You guys are great! I'm pretty spacy today, but that's okay. At least I can remember what I did while spaced, lol! Have had some great support from friends in recovery, too, who are from my childhood (I'm on the other coast now). Gaining strength from those who have gone before
