Remember Dr. Laura???

As I was driving to our vacation destination I was scanning through satellite radio, and there she was. I figured it was a blast from the past, till she referenced the olympics. I know she's not everyone's cup of tea.....but honestly she had some real zingers for folks you drink too much and she was dead on!!! I had quite a chuckle and ended up listening for awhile

Anyway, it was helpful for me to listen to her, as I couldn't drive and be on SR at the same time

Yeah, I have satellite and listen to her often. Like you, I don't always agree but I often do. She has very common sense advice and tells it like it is.

Thumbs down

She may have had some good advice about drinkers/addicts (i wouldn't know), but she was a bigot when it came to lgbt folks.

I thought she was a little hypocritical too.

She is pretty full of herself. She is very concise where alcohol and drug abuse are concerned, which is what interested me today.

Oh, well, never listened to her until this year and she's never addressed any lgbt issues when I've been listening. I didn't/don't really know the background on her....before that she was just someone who I knew existed.
