hi all , i really want to try and stop this madness , i lost my job in march and havent had a sober day since , i only got to day 3 last time , im weak and i hate what i have become , been boozing 20 years but my work kept it kind of under control , now ive got no control , its come to the point that i dont even like it anymore , so why do i still do it , its got me by the balls and i hate it . i feel like death warmed up , the only reason im not drunk now is because im skint . DAY 1 AGAIN .

I can relate I lived that daily hell for a long long time also. The last 7-8 years of my drinking I keep losing jobs over and over due to it. I wound up in jail for 4 dui's, hospital for pancreatitias, a couple er visit due to detox, and many other things.

I kept going when I so didnt want to even pick up another drink or my body for that manner. For me coming to grips that I will die or get sober. So each day I keep going for that sober life. For me AA has been the way . But there are many options, I hope you take one and go for it all.

sounds like you really wanna be sober. stick around here, it will help you, being around others who want to live, and be happy. people do recover, and you can do it too.

dont disappear! read all the stuff here, there is a lot. lots of stories and encouragement. people who have been where you are, who understand. it isnt easy to do it alone.
you can have a good life. ready?
