hey, I'm new
hey everyone I'm julie 22 years old fresh outta rehab for alcohol marijuana, and pills. my sobriety date is the fourth of july, of this year. so I'm 15 days sober. first time ever doing this, it was my first detox and rehab. i put myself in there willingly. i really want to do this the right way, and i never want to go back to the way i was before. I'm really shy, but i love meeting new people if that makes any sense. while in rehab, i was diagnosed with ptsd, for some personal issues that happened in my past. I'm a really nice person, I'm honest, and a really great friend. i really need to meet new people, who are sober though. all my friends i had to get rid of because they all use, and i know i can't stay sober if i continue to hang out with them. my mother and my younger brother, he's 20, became sober together almost two years ago, their sobriety date is 8/27/10. i know all about aa, I've been in and out of it supporting my family, but I've never gone for myself, and thats definitely different. so anyways, send me an email or a message on here, i totally would love to talk to anyone

Welcome aboard
As I often say, I just love seeing young people come into the rooms of AA.To get it early and be able to live that long life of peace, without having to go the long not so scenic route like myself and so many others.
Keep coming around and reading and posting.

Welcome Juliea. Glad to see you here. Anything you need help with, you have but to ask.
Sounds like you're doing things the right way and that you're going to have support from your family, so if an old geek like myself can say it - TOTALLY COOL !

hello there! good job on your sobriety so far, stay strong. i'm in the same spot with friends. it was a real eye opener when i was asked if i had any sober friends during therapy. not only did i not currently have any sober friends but i realized i've NEVER had any sober friends since middle school. that hit me hard. i hope you find people who can support you and also have a fun time with while being sober. good luck with everything :-)
Welcome julie!
Good for you for choosing sobriety and getting your life back! I feel so much better about myself now - it's hard to be the best we can be when our addictions are running the show.
Great to have you join us!
