I am 38 years old. I have not had any alcohol since 05/25/2012. Two weeks ago today I started having stomach cramps and developed very bad constipation. My side hurt my back ached. I felt completely blocked. I finally feel better but still have not been going but a little at a time. It normally takes two exlax and five hours to get things going. Anyone had this happened or heard of something like this happening after cold turkey stopping drinking?

it's possible this may not be alcohol related at all....it may be related to diet, to fluid intake, to medications you might be on, or there may be an actual problem internally...the list is endless.

For that reason, if you're concerned about it, please see your Dr, or at least go speak to your pharmacist.

welcome to SR...no medical advice, but if you're eating a good diet with fiber and veggies? IDK. call your doc. it might be something that they can help you with. this is not normal if you are young and active.
