made it through a 10 day vacation sober

One thing about being sober, is that time slows down (at least i think so) and vacation seemed longer, got lots of stuff done, spent some cash but it was on cloths and my truck so that was good.

Made it through temptation and evil. Learned a few tricks to stay sober when people are around, that would be go shopping, if it's late go to walmart, or a 24 hour laundry, McDonalds for coffee, drive by houses of old friends, if they are outside, stop, go for walks, just get away somehow. I feel like I've passed a test, just blowin off steam here, but so happy about being sober.

I'm really starting to get a healthy fear of that first drink, mainly because i think it would feel really, really good. (but then really, really bad)

Thanks!

Congratulations OCDDan! That's brilliant news. I fear the 'first drink' so much that I hope that fear never goes away. It's the fear that keeps me sober, mostly!

Hi dan, that's great! Good job! I have alot more time too now that I am aware of every minute. I agree keeping busy is good for sobriety! Have a nice day
